Connecting with the Sacred during the Great Shift of the Ages

Solstice Orbs. This photo was taken after our Solstice Fire; lots of Orb Beings showing up to join our ceremony; how magical is that? Thanks Fred for taking the photo!

This blog is one of the many new beginnings in my life.  So what, in the noisy confusion of life, is sacred?  Well Hafiz said everything is sacred, every thought, feeling, action; there is nothing we can do, say or feel that is not holy, blessed, sanctified and revered, part of the Divine.  Wow, that’s a concept; a bit much to get our heads around when there is so much suffering around and within us.

But I feel a great shift happening, a change in consciousness that is affecting everything.  Thanks to internet we can see the groundswell, the growing numbers of people waking up to the disconnects, the untruths that have bound us, and questioning it all.  One piece of plastic at a time, we are taking steps to heal, to come back into balance with nature and our sacred trust as caretakers for the planet.  We are slowly, but surely, with each 9-11, tsuami, earthquake, tornado, oil spill – coming to realize what is true, meaningful and beautiful about Life.  Doors of perception, windows of compassion are opening; I see humanity standing at the edge of a new way of walking on the Earth.

While there are and may still be many moments of forgetting, when we fail to see what is holy or sublime in what is happening, we can start again, come back to the truth of the sacred connection between all of Life.  We can shift perspective, expand our lens, and open our eyes to the sacred, the mystical; find the gift offered in every event, in every sacred moment of embodied existence.
