A New Light All Over the World

As we approach the holy-days, we in the Northern hemisphere welcome the Return of the Light, and all over the world we welcome the Age of Aquarius. It is a powerful time, a magical time.

This New Age is about a shift away from separation and duality consciousness towards a more compassionate and unified way of thinking and behaving. During the next 2,000 years, we will create a “New Renaissance” – the triumph of Aquarius’ highest values: humanitarianism, knowledge, reason, innovation, and people who work towards a greater goal.

We are each invited to ponder what our unique role is, the part we came to play in this great adventure called Life.

The celestial highlight of this Winter Solstice, and an omen of the time to come, is a Great Conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn, the two slowest moving visible planets in our solar system. It is called by some the "Christmas Star" or the "Star of Bethlehem".

This rare celestial event will be visible only for a short time after sunset on December 21st, low in the southwestern sky. Set your clock because this is a once in lifetime opportunity!! It will be a perfect moment, and a perfect Star to plant your wish upon, so conjure up your greatest dreams and wishes for the Earth and do it!!

Stepping Up in a Bigger Way

This Winter Solstice inspires each of us to show up in a bigger way on behalf of the whole of the Creation. So I invite you to take a stand for some aspect of our Mother Earth that is close to your heart. It might be the animals, or the trees, or the rivers and oceans. Whatever aspect it is, I invite you to take the time at this Solstice to express your love and gratitude for their presence and gifts. If possible, take some time to connect with this part of your immediate natural world in person, to create your own ritual of connection.

There are many rich and beautiful rituals for this time of year. Yulelogs, fire, decorations and lights on trees, boughs and garlands, special gatherings with friends and family, music and song, storytelling, food and drink. Whatever we create and participate in can be turned into an intentional act of prayer and gratitude for the Light that triumphs over darkness.

At this most holy of seasons, we can let our every thought, feeling, word, breath and step be a celebration of the dance of Love and Light that brought us all here and continues to sustain us and draw us forward.

My Winter Solstice wish is that you open to receive Life's richest blessings, that you remember the full beauty and power of the Light you are and Source from, and radiate your unique brightest Light into the World. May the collective Light of Humanity shine the way into a new brighter, kinder, and just world for all of us.
